Enterprise mobile delivery rarely breaks in development — it breaks between what the business wants and what actually gets built. Prague, hybrid (2 days in the office), permanent contract. 90,000–105,000 CZK/month + ~15% annual bonus. EU work permit + long-term CZ residency + Czech/Slovak language required.
A global logistics player — road, air and sea freight, active in 200+ countries. The Prague team isn't a satellite office — it's part of the core global engineering delivery organization, covering the full portfolio of mobile applications for internal and customer-facing use cases, not a single app.
▸ Why This Role Exists Now
The number of mobile use cases on the platform keeps growing, and so does the number of stakeholders and requirements. The question isn't whether something can be built — it's what should be built first, and why. This role strengthens the team with someone who can align business needs with what actually gets built. The position opened up after the previous person was promoted into a broader role — not because they left the company.
Job description
▸ Role / Mission
Your mission is to align what the business wants with what actually gets built. That means going beyond what stakeholders say they want, understanding the real problem, and not letting a weak requirement through — then coming back to the team with a backlog that makes sense and can be picked up right away.
The team covers the full product lifecycle — architecture, analysis, development, QA and support — internationally, with a strong hub in Prague; collaboration runs on overlapping working hours. Stakeholders know their domain well, so discussions are substantive, not hand-holding.
Twelve months in, delivery in your area is faster and more predictable. Requirements stop being a guessing game. Stakeholders come to you earlier — not only once things fall apart.
▸ Key Responsibilities
- You go directly to stakeholders — understanding the real problem behind the request, pushing back on weak requirements and looking for a better solution
- You translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog items the team can pick up right away — no open questions
- You facilitate agile ceremonies — refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives — so the team understands not just what it's building, but why
- You keep business, development and delivery aligned across an internationally distributed team — communication runs in English
▸ What This Role Is NOT
- Not a mobile developer position — you won't be writing code
- Not a reactive role — you don't wait to be told what to do
- Not meeting coordination or ticket rewriting
- Not a support or shift-based position
▸ Operating Model
Prague, 2 days in the office per week, the rest remote. Agile delivery, English as the working language. No shifts, no on-call. Technical context: Android/iOS (enterprise distribution), Node.js and Python on the backend, Jira, Confluence.
Requirements
▸ What Matters Most
Forget long checklists. This role comes down to four things:
- You understand delivery — you can tell a good backlog from chaos
- You think about the problem, not the tickets — you reshape a request until it makes sense
- You can hold your ground — the business expects a discussion, not agreement; development expects clarity, not confusion
- English good enough for everyday work discussions — all communication runs in English
A high-level understanding of mobile matters — the Android/iOS ecosystem, app lifecycle, enterprise distribution. You won't be writing code, but you need to know what people are talking about.
▸ Nice to Have
- Experience in an enterprise or regulated environment
- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) from a business perspective
- Experience with internal mobile app distribution
- Agile certification (Scrum, SAFe or similar)
This is context, not a hard requirement.
Offer & Terms
Real influence over what gets built and how — not just documentation. A team where people grow internally — the previous person in this role was promoted, not replaced. An international environment with a strong hub in Prague.
What you get:
- Salary: 90,000–105,000 CZK/month, permanent contract + ~15% annual bonus
- Holiday: 25 days + 6 sick days + up to 10 days of fully compensated sick leave
- Training and certifications covered by the company
- Cafeteria (Edenred) — meal vouchers, pension/life insurance, healthcare
- Multisport card, option to purchase parent-company shares at a discount
- Open only to candidates eligible to work in the EU without visa sponsorship, residing in the Czech Republic long-term, with proficiency in Czech or Slovak.
