As a Infrastructure Engineer – VMWARE System Engineer you will be responsible for VMware virtual environment – Design, build, maintenance and issues resolution with both the regional and global infrastructure.
Job description / Náplň práce
Run or Build? This team is primarily responsible for build. Together with them you can participate in tasks such as:
Automation of Global VMware Infrastructure
• take charge of automating defined tasks within the global VMware infrastructure based on architecture or operational team requirements
Develop procedures and tools for build of the virtualization platform
• design build of virtual machines, operations of virtual machines, operations and further development of the virtualization platform
• install and maintain VMware infrastructure servers and their routine upgrades
End-to-End VMware Infrastructure Support
• including delivering standard build guidelines, investigating issues, and determining appropriate actions for problem resolution
• ensure the smooth functioning of business-critical applications within your scope and actively contribute to assigned projects and technical designs
• provide crucial technical consultation during major migration and transition programs, documenting architecture, procedures, and preparing guidelines for other teams handling the virtual infrastructure
Requirements / Požadavky
• strong expertise with VMware, vSphere and Windows/Linux OS
• proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell) is highly valued for this role
• ability to work independently, manage priorities, and organize tasks efficiently under time and workload pressures
• proficiency in spoken and written English due to cross-region collaboration in a multinational environment
• familiarity with Bash. Perl, Python, ServiceNow, ITIL, SiteRecovery, Aria, Azure is welcomed
