marc riboud dubrovnik 1953 colour Dresden – 1967Marc Riboud (1923 2016) was born in Lyon, France. Riboud initially studied engineering, but gave up his studies for his passion for photography. In 1953, Riboud created an icon of photography with the photo of the Peintre de Tour Eiffel, which was published in Life Magazine and established his legendary reputation. He joined the Magnum agency and in the following years created impressive photographs of the Middle East, Afghanistan, India and China. He
